Alebrijes are hand carved in copal wood by artisans from Tilcajete, Oaxaca. Each one is hand painted so it is unique in color and shape. Alebrijes are part of the Mexican culture, they are a combination of different animals represented in a fanciful way. They also represent our spiritual guides and protectors.
